There are many different types of job training, including on-the-job training and computer-assisted training. Simulations are another popular way for individuals to gain job training. Many times, companies will utilize a job training center to teach all new employees. All of the available methods have different levels of effectiveness and are used in different situations. One of the most common types of training is on-the-job training. With this type of training, individuals will learn as they are working. Most of the time, this type of training comes from a fellow employee or a manager. The theory behind this type of training is that it is easier to learn by doing than by listening to theory. Many people learn better when they start performing the tasks they will be responsible for. On-the-job training is used by many different industries around the world. An example of this type of training is an apprenticeship program. For example, electricians and other tradesmen utilize the system to train new employees while they provide help at the same time.In many industries, companies rely on computer-assisted training modules to teach their employees. These companies develop computer software programs to help their employees learn. With this type of system, the employee can sit down at a computer and learn the basic concepts of the job within a very short period of time. One of the benefits of this method of learning is that the computer program will provide multiple methods of learning for the individual. Individuals can benefit from video, audio, and interactive lessons to learn about the job at hand. The multiple methods of learning accommodate every type of learner.Another type of training involves a job training center. Many large companies have departments completely dedicated to training their new employees. An individual will be hired to be in charge of training all individuals who come into the company. Many times, this type of training entails several days of lectures in a classroom by the trainer. This type of training can be beneficial because it allows individuals to learn with other new employees. This allows them to learn how to work in groups and interact with fellow employees. At the end of the training period, the new employees will usually be required to take a test to make sure the important aspects of the job have been covered.
